Thai Surgeon-Pilot Launches Air Ambulance Service, AirAMB

Dr Kornprom Saengaram, a surgeon and pilot from Thailand, is starting an air ambulance service called AirAMB. This new service aims to help people in Indochina who need emergency medical care but do not have access to such services. Currently awaiting approval from the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand, AirAMB plans to start operations this year. It will cost more than 200 million baht and mainly serve patients from Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. Dr Kornprom also believes artificial intelligence (AI) can improve medical services.
